The St. Louis Cardinals had their chance to rough up Pedro early in the third inning, but Jeff Suppan got stuck between 3rd and home, turning an easy run into a double play.

Pedro Martinez who turned 33 yesterday, dominated from the mound, going 7 innings, with 3 hits and Pedro retired the last 14 batters he faced.
